Organization

History
Estonian Defense Industry Association (EDIA) was founded on 19-th February  2009. On the 25-th February EDIA was registered as a non-profit organization on the register. The founders of EDIA were Taavi Veskimägi, Jüri Käo, Jüri Ilves and Neinar Seli.

Mission
The mission of the EDIA is to create better opportunities for their member companies on the markets of goods and services for defence purposes and to contribute thereby to increase in the defence capability and economic development of Estonia.

Tasks of the EDIA

• Representation and protection of interests of members of the Association and establishment of new opportunities in relations with consumers, developers and manufacturers of products of the defence industry.
• Development of cooperation with Estonian and international organisations in order to achieve the aims of the Association.
• Collection, dissemination and intermediation of information related to the area of activity of the Union to its members and the public.
• Other activities, which are necessary or useful to members and in agreement with the aim of the Association as specified in these articles of association.
